A tiger's eye painted as a glass mosaic work of art, a striking and powerful painting in it's own right, was created by Artist Paul Jackson to sell an idea. The goal, to create a 30 foot diameter, 300,000 glass tile mosaic based on a 1999 watercolor tiger named "Spot". It worked, and the "Tiger Spot" project was unveiled in October 2001 on the campus of the University of Missouri.

Blue Drip Art Glass Bowl
Blue Drip Bowl: "Every piece by Taylor-Backes Glass Studio is unique and spontaneous, using the heat of the glory hole and the weight of the added drips to create a piece that still looks as though it has motion. The piece starts as a hot glass bubble at the end of a blow pipe. It is then shaped, and the solid glass drips are added on to the bubble. The drips contain dichroic glass which is what makes them sparkle. Each drip vase or bowl takes from 45 minutes to 2 hours to make, depending upon the size. There is a team of three to six glass blowers who work to make each one come to life. When finished the pieces weigh between 20 and 65 pounds."

i wanted to make a very simple poem to go along with this piece, keeping it basic and direct maintain focus on the core feeling of missing someone. Both was composed to speak universally to all perspectives of all those in love.
Whether you've lost a love one, or is no longer in a relationship with that someone whom you still care about, from business trips to long distance relationship, i hope it will in some small way help you feel better.
